How to Work Together to Find Peace
A plain language guide to what you can expect during our remote sessions and memorial planning.
What to Expect: Walking the Bridge Together
Taking the first step when you are grieving or exhausted takes immense courage. Because this process might feel new, there is no judging how you should or maybe feeling. There is no performance required here, you are welcome to show up exactly as you are alone or if you bring your companion animal or another loved one with you. I will be here however you need to be whole.
The Journey Forward
As a care provider, whether one-on-one or in a small setting with others in your life, Heartbridge Animal Chaplaincy provides:
What I Focus On
Together we may explore the heavy reality of an upcoming medical decision, navigate the quiet emptiness of a home after the loss of a companion animal, or untangle the specific heartbreak of a forced surrender. For working professionals, I serve as a steady partner to journey through the weight of compounding experiences to help you build sustainable emotional resilience.
Creating a Brave and Safe Space for You
To help you feel safe, it is just as important to know what leaves this space entirely free of judgment or sterile clinical language.
What I Do
I offer grounded, human companionship and emotional tools to help you process intense grief and honor your unique animal bond.
No Religious Framing
My practice is non-religious. I do not impose spiritual views, all faiths and those with no faith background are welcome.
No Clinical Diagnoses
I am a chaplain, not a psychologist. I do not provide clinical diagnoses, but I can connect you to medical resources if needed.
If you want to honor an animal through a formal farewell, we can collaboratively create a meaningful anchor for your grief:
Before the Loss
Quiet planning for your final days together to design a peaceful environment for their passing.
Co-Creating the Ritual
Designing a personalized memorial, celebration of life, or private ritual that reflects your animal's unique spirit.
Facilitating the Ceremony
Guiding you or your family through the ceremony as a calm anchor so you can focus entirely on honoring your companion.
What You Might Feel Afterward
Grief doesn't disappear in an hour, but visitors often share that after a session, the weight feels a little more manageable. You can expect to leave our time feeling deeply heard, validated, and less isolated in your pain. Many experience a sense of quiet relief simply from giving voice to feelings that the rest of the world minimizes.
